Lunch and Learn

Lunch and Learn | Spruce Rd.

Lunch and Learn | Spruce Rd.

Since I began working from home, I crave more social interaction with fellow creatives. At a previous job, we occasionally had “lunch and learns,” where a vendor or paper rep would educate us on a new product or service during our lunch break. I had so much fun stepping away from my projects + clients, and learning something new. I really miss that interaction + growth, so I decided to do something about it.

Exciting News:

I am gearing up to start my own lunch and learn series, where I dive into graphic design tutorials, interview fellow creatives, or share behind the scenes of Spruce Rd! I don’t want this to be a blog post for the public to view, but instead foster a bit of community with like-minded people. This could take the form of a live webinar/Google hangout with interactive Q&A during a weekday lunch break, recorded quick videos or screen shares, or a newsletter.

I would love your input by taking this very quick survey! I would really appreciate it, and look forward to your suggestions on what you would like to learn, what day/time works for you, and any other recommendations. I hope you are as excited about this as I am!

This is a great idea! Living in Australia I find that my creative friends/mentors are all over the globe, and a google hangout would be a wonderful way to bring people together and learn from each other in different locations.
